By the end of 1997, he had become M0BLF although a poor home QTH meant that his HF contacts were limited until his arrival at Cambridge University in September 2000.
In Cambridge, he helped revive the University's 'Wireless Society' and became interested in DXing and IOTA. In the last few years, he has also become a keen contester from Cambridge University's G6UW/M4A station.
Although now a PhD student in Hispanic Studies at Birmingham University, Dominic still returns to Cambridge for major contests. He is a member of WWYC, amongst other groups.

A keen contester, he has been actively involved with M8C and the Windmill Contest Group from it's inception, and is involved with the organisational side of contest events.
